If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, please see Information for Incoming Students for information specific to new Providence College students.
The PC UserID is the ID you will use to log into your email, log onto the wireless networks on campus, and log onto the computers in the labs. As we move towards a single sign-on, you will soon use it to log onto ANGEL and other campus resources, such as the PC Self Help wiki.
You will need to call Enrollment Services at 865-1033.
You can use Angel to get this information. First, log
into Angel and click on one of your courses. Click under Resources, in
the left-hand navigation panel. Finally click the link for Course Syllabus. The building and time should be listed to the right of the left-hand navigation
panel.
You should speak with your advisor or the department chair. If you can't reach them, call Enrollment Services at 865-1033.
You likely have a spyware infection. You can try cleaning it yourself using anti-spyware tools, such as AdAware, SpyBot Search & Destroy, and Windows Defender, or you can bring your computer to the Helpdesk between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm Sunday through Thursday nights to have a ResNet tech clean it up for you. If you can't stay online long enough to download the software, the Helpdesk Resource CD has the installers for the tools we use.
We also have instructions on how to clean a spyware infection.
Probably not. PC UserID passwords expire every 90 days. You should have received a warning notifying you that it was about to expire. When you see those warnings, you need to make sure you change your password. Once it expires, you get locked out of your email and cannot change your password yourself. If this happens, you will need to come to the Helpdesk in Accinno 102 to have your password reset. Make sure you bring your PC ID card.
You should read our Information for Departing Students page. It has all the information you'll need to know.
You should read our Computer Support and Repairs page. It has all the information you need to know about where to get your computer fixed.
YES!!! You should read our Wireless Networking page for information about the wireless networks on campus and how to connect to them.
We have created a HOWTO on connecting to network drives.
You will need to go to the Bursar's office which is located on the third floor of Harkins. New IDs cost twenty dollars.
