If you use your PC ID card to make purchases at the bookstore in Slavin, the Alumni Food Court, Jazzman's Cafe, or other places on campus, you're probably familiar with the cash-deposit machines located in the Library and Slavin. You stick whatever amount of cash you have on-hand into the machine, along with your id card, and that amount gets credited to the card.

However, if you're like me, you hardly ever have enough cash on-hand to add more than $5 to the card. But, like me, if you use the card to get the employee discount at some of the above places by using your card instead of cash, you keep adding $5 every day or so (if you even have it). This is annoying!!

Here's a better way: You can transfer money from a debit or credit card to your PC id, online. It's a great way to dump a larger sum of money onto the card, and you can do it from any computer. And you don't have to find one of the cash-deposit machines!

To access PC Card Online, go to https://services.jsatech.com/index.php?cid=143. (You can navigate to this link from the PC home page by going to Student Life / Services for Students / ID cards>).

Your id is your banner id. You may have to use the "I'm new here" link if you have not signed in before. Once you sign in, you can check your card balance, check your recent transactions, and add cash to your card. The transfer takes place right away and you can access the new balanace immediately. There is a $1 transaction charge for this service, but this is often cheaper than the ATM fee you would pay if you took out cash and then deposited it onto the card. It's a lot easier too!
