Sojourner House provides shelter and resident advocacy services for battered women and their children. They also offer a 24-hour hotline for support, information or referrals for current and former victims of domestic violence, non-resident advocacy services (including assistance with the legal system), outreach/advocacy services in northern Rhode Island and Greater Providence, family violence and education programs for classroom, community, and workplace, conflict resolution programs for children, teen dating violence programs, lesbian advocacy programs, rural outreach/advocacy, Latina advocacy in domestic abuse, and the Temporary Restraining order office in the Garrahy Judicial Complex.
| Job Description: Crisis intervention and Helpline Advocacy – Helpline Advocate: To provide advocacy via phone or Drop-in direction when clients call or come to the Drop-in center. Provide information, internal referrals to specific agency departments, and assist advocates during the day with daily tasks.
