McVinney Hall is the tallest of the traditional dorms and the view from the top floors is beautiful. It has a great location because it's not far from the Academic buildings, Slavin, Ray, and the gym. For the most part, all of the rooms are designed the same way;they are all doubles and those who live on floors 2-5 have twin XL beds and those who are on floors 6-10 have twin beds. The twin XL size beds have wooden frames, whereas the twin size beds have metal frames. The closets are average size with two drawers and two shelves. The lounge on the first floor is great because there is a common area with tables and couches, but there are also two quiet rooms for those who want to study in silence. There is also a kitchen with vending machines in a room off of the lounge.
