PC-Secure

Windows XP

  • Run the clear-peap-credentials script found on this page (right-click the link and choose "Save link as"). You should be able to re-enter your username and password after running the script.
    • It is recommended that you save the script to your computer and run it whenever your password has changed.
  • If the above recommendation does not work, remove PC-Secure from your prefered networks list.
    • Go to the Control Panel.
    • Double-click on Network Connections.
    • Right-click on Wireless Network Connection and choose Properties.
    • Click on the Wireless Networks tab at the top.
    • Select PC-Secure from the list of networks and click Remove.
    • Click OK.
    • Follow the steps to setup PC-Secure.

 

 

Windows Vista

You have 2 options with Windows Vista. There is a quick temporary (until your password changes again) fix or a permanent fix.

Quick Fix
  • Run the clear-peap-credentials script found on this page (right-click the link and choose "Save link as"). You should be able to re-enter your username and password after running the script.
    • It is recommended that you save the script to your computer and run it whenever your password has changed.
Permanent Fix
  • Remove PC-Secure from your Wireless Networks list.
    • Go to the Control Panel.
    • Double-click on Network and Sharing Center.
    • Click Manage Wireless Networks on the left column.
    • Click on PC-Secure and click the Remove button.
    • Follow the steps to setup PC-Secure (steps were updated as of March 31, 2009).

 

 

MacOS X

You should plug into a wired network and run Software Update to make sure you have all the latest updates. You can access Software Update from the Apple menu.

Leopard
  • If after changing your PC Email password, you find that you can no longer get on PC-Secure, try these steps to remove and re-add PC-Secure.

    • Go to Keychain Acess and remove the entires for PC-Secure and Rocky1, by clicking on each one and pressing the delete key on your keyboard. 
    • Quit Keychain Access.
    • Click on the Airport Icon, and select Open Network Preferences.
    • Select Airport on left-hand-side panel.
    • Select Turn off Airport.
    • Select Advanced, under Airport.
    • Under the Airport tab, select PC-Secure and remove it.
    • Next, click OK , then Apply.
    • Under the 802.1x tab, click on the triangle under User Profiles to expand and see PC-Secure and remove it.
    • Next, click OK , then Apply.
    • Restart.
    • Log into the Mac, then turn on Airport.
    • When Prompted for your password by the PC-Secure Network, enter your current email password.
    • On the warning about the Certificate, click Continue.
  • If these steps did not fix the problem, follow the first step to remove the PC-Secure entry from Keychain Access and do the following.
    • Click on the Airport icon and turn it off.
    • Click on the Airport icon again and select Open Network Preferences.
    • Click on Airport on the left side and then click the minus (-) button to remove it.
    • When it is gone, click the plus (+) button to add it back. The new window will say "Airport 2". Simply change it to "Airport".
    • Turn Airport back on.
    • Try connecting again.
