These are instructions for connecting to the PC-Guest wireless. This access should only be used by official guests of the College, such as vendors, and students who do not have accounts, such as SCE students.

All faculty, staff, and students who do have college network accounts should be using PC-Secure and logging in using their own username and password.

Please choose which operating system your computer is running to see the proper set of instructions.

Windows XP

  1. From the Start Menu, choose the Control Panel and then Network Connections and you should see the following window.

If you previously connected to PC-Secure, you will need to remove these from the preferred networks list, like in the image from step 3.

Windows Vista

  1. Right-click on the network icon in the system tray and choose Connect to a Network.
  2. You should see PC-Secure, PC-Wireless, and Unnamed Network, all with the same strength.
  3. Click on Unnamed Network and choose Connect.
  4. When it asks you for the name of the network, enter PC-Guest.
  5. It should connect you automatically. If not, try again and it should connect you on the second try.
  6. Once connected, it will ask if you would like to save the network. This is entirely up to you, but keep in mind that you won't have to complete these steps each additional time you wish to connect.

MacOS X

  1. Click on the Airport icon on the right hand side of the menu bar.
  2. Choose Join Other Network....
  3. In the Network Name field, enter PC-Guest.
  4. If you wish to remember the network and auto-connect, check the box.
  5. Click Join.
