Are Apple computers supported at Providence College?

Apple computers are supported will work just fine on the PC network!

We recommend that you purchase Microsoft Office 2008, as all our faculty and staff use recently-released Microsoft Office products.

If you are using Office 2004, there is now a converter available to change the format of Office 2008 documents to Office 2004 format.  You can download the "Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.0" here, or visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac to find other Microsoft downloads for your Macintosh.

We require the usage of anti-virus software. If you do not have any, the Helpdesk in Accinno 102 has CD's with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for MacOS. They are free for all students.
