The following instructions allow you to use your Providence College email with Microsoft Entourage on an Apple computer.
- Click on the Entourage menu and then Account Settings.
- Select the Exchange tab at the top.
- Click on the New button to create a new account.
- In the Set Up a Mail Account window, enter your full Providence College email address.
- Check the box that says My account is on an Exchange server.
- Enter your username (the part of your email address before the @providence) in the Username field.
- Enter providence in the Domain field.
- Leave the password field blank.
- Click the Configure account manually button at the bottom of the window.
- Enter whatever you like in the Account Name box (ex. PC Email).
- Fill in all the fields with the respective information. In the Domain field, enter providence.
- Enter post.providence.edu in the Exchange server field.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Enter post.providence.edu in the Public Folders field.
- Enter dc1.providence.col in the LDAP server field.
- In the Search base field, enter: ou=providence,dc=providence,dc=col
- Click OK.
Microsoft Entourage should now be configured to check your email and work with the Exchange server.
