Configure Entourage

The following instructions allow you to use your Providence College email with Microsoft Entourage on an Apple computer.

1. Click on the Entourage menu and then Account Settings.
   
   
2. Select the Exchange tab at the top.
   
   
3. Click on the New button to create a new account.
   
   
   
   
4. In the Set Up a Mail Account window, enter your full Providence College email address.
   
   
5. Check the box that says My account is on an Exchange server.
   
   
6. Enter your username (the part of your email address before the @providence) in the Username field.
   
   
7. Enter providence in the Domain field.
   
   
8. Leave the password field blank.
   
   
9. Click the Configure account manually button at the bottom of the window.
   
   
   
   
10. Enter whatever you like in the Account Name box (ex. PC Email).
    
    
11. Fill in all the fields with the respective information. In the Domain field, enter providence.
    
    
12. Enter post.providence.edu in the Exchange server field.
    
    
13. Click on the Advanced tab.
    
    
    
    
14. Enter post.providence.edu in the Public Folders field.
    
    
15. Enter dc1.providence.col in the LDAP server field.
    
    
16. In the Search base field, enter: ou=providence,dc=providence,dc=col
    
    
17. Click OK.

Microsoft Entourage should now be configured to check your email and work with the Exchange server.
